The ReUse Centre is both a registered Charity and a Social Enterprise. Based in the centre of Bedford, we support people and communities throughout the county of Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas.
As a Charity, we support people in need or hardship by supplying low-price re-usable goods and materials. We have no central funding so we have to rely on sales income and contributions from our members and customers for the products and services we provide.
Our main focus is the supply of re-usable furniture and domestic appliances, everything from chairs, tables and lounge suites to beds, wardrobes, washing machines and cookers. We also stock a range of affordable new beds, white goods and flat-pack furniture to meet an increasing demand from our customers.
We have qualified PAT testers on our team and that enables us to also supply electrical goods, such as fridges, fridge/freezers, cookers, washing machines, televisions and other domestic appliances. All the electrical goods we supply are tested to make sure they are safe and functional and come with a ninety (90) day guarantee.
We do much more than promote re-use. We are a Social Firm bringing benefits to the community by helping people gain real skills and get back into work through a well-established and recognised volunteering scheme, providing our volunteers with training in a range of skills.
In addition to a great selection of furniture we also offer toys and games, books, DVDs, clothes, vinyl, bicycles, bric-a-brac and an exclusive line of ReUpholstery through our shop in Church Arcade.
